An Exploration of “Me”

I live in everyday life with a strong sense of “me” and of individual existence. I take for granted that it is my life with my own separate personality, memories, achievements; family, friends, pleasures and problems. My sense of experiencing and of perception itself, is fundamentally felt as a belonging to me. How does this impact every second of my life and all of my relationships?
In this workshop we shall be examining, how we perceive almost everything, through our shared sense of individual self. We are examining this topic not theoretically but as immediately and directly as possible, as we sit together, as friends, in dialogue. Is it even possible to psychologically let go of such an old and embedded mind set?

RETREAT LANGUAGE & COMMUNICATION
The retreat will be mainly in English, however French speakers are also welcome. The facilitator and the organisers of La Maison are all bi-lingual, so they will be speaking in both French and English when and wherever necessary.
A bi-lingual inquiry retreat can be a wonderful opportunity to practice speaking another language. However help with understanding and communication will be available at all times.
